This winter Soccer Chelsea and Soccer des Collines will combine their CISO (U09 to U16) league teams and the Académie Elite programs. Our technical development program, now called Development Academy (Académie de développement) will continue to be held in the Chelsea gym on weekday evenings for players U7 to U12. Our Senior and Old Timer programs will continue to be managed by Soccer Chelsea.
In order to register for the correct programs, here are the birth dates for players for the various categories for winter 2018-2019:
Soccer Chelsea will be registering teams with Soccer des Collines in the indoor CISO winter Soccer Outaouais leagues. Age groups will include U09/U10, U11/U12, U13/U14 and U15/U16 for CISO. For LSSO the age groups are U21 (age 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21), senior (age 22 and older with men's, women's and mixed teams) and veteran (age 35 and older) teams. The club will continue to offer the Development Academy (formerly knowns as CLD and Mini Lions) for U7 to U12 players and the Colonel league for players aged 35 and older. The goals of our program are to ensure that all players improve their skills, confidence and most importantly, increase the pleasure they get from playing soccer. Skills developed over the winter season will enhance player's abilities for the summer season. All CISO and LSSO games will take place at the Centre Multisport (La Fonderie).
Registration period is from August 18th to September 23rd (new date). Registration night will be September 6th between 6pm and 8:30pm at the Meredith Center. You may also register at the Community Fair at the Meredith Center on September 8th. After September 9th, registrations may be put on a waiting list and will only be accepted if there is space on a team in the age group and at the discretion of the coaches. No registrations will be accepted after October 6. Summer uniforms are used for the winter season. Most teams will require a red Chelsea jersey.
The CISO season runs from October 13th, 2018 to March 11th 2019. The game schedule will not be announced until early October. The age categories for the CISO league are U09/U10, U11/U12, U13/U14 and U15/U16. Team registrations are not accepted. If a coach wishes to form a team, we encourage the coach to ask the players to register individually early in the registration period which will increase the probability of the players playing together. Teams may also have access to practice time every few weeks at the Centre Multisport in Hull. More frequent practices will have to be managed and paid for by individual teams. If required for an age category, team selection will occur the week of September 16th. U17 and U18 players must register with a team in the LSSO league (see below).
Registration is limited: CISO teams will be limited to 9 players, with any additional players approved by the coach on an individual basis. Applications will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are sufficient numbers for more than one team, there will be a sorting and selection process. When there is more than one team within a particular division, the skill level of the players will be assessed and teams will be balanced (teams are only balanced if there are two in the same division; otherwise they are sorted with the stronger on D1 and the others on D2). While all players are welcome, historically, players who play winter soccer tend to be at least division 1 or division 2 players. Because of limited spaces, we cannot promise that all applications will be accepted. Preference will be given to those players who will be able to commit for the entire season and who have been previously registered with Soccer Chelsea and Soccer des Collines.
Meeting for the team representatives / captains: TBD (see SO website for details).
U10 and U12 typically (to be confirmed) play games on Sunday during the day. U14 and U16 typically (to be confirmed) play on Saturday afternoon and evening. For details on the CISO league see the SO website.
