Adult Program - 2011
Soccer Chelsea offers several programs for adult players:
Old-Timers (age 35 and older)
Outdoor Soccer
In 2011 Chelsea had four Old-Timer teams playing in the competitive Ottawa Carleton Soccer League (OCSL). Games are played Friday nights at either 6:30 or 8:30 PM and there was also one practice night shared by the teams. Away games are played throughout the Ottawa-Carleton region. The OCSL has approximately 100 teams organized into eight divisions; teams change their division (moving up or down) down depending on their standings at the end of each season.
Please note: In response to thr growing demand from new players, Soccer Chelsea plans to add an additional Old-Timer team in 2012. This team will play in Division 8 of the Ottawa Carleton Soccer League. If you are interested in joining this new team, please ensure you register in February.
Indoor Soccer
1. Colonel's League - The Colonel is back…indoor soccer at the Connor's building is scheduled to start on Friday, October 7! A field has been reserved each Friday at 8:00 pm, 9:00 pm, and 10:00 pm. This will accommodate 6 teams (54-60 players).
As usual though, it's first come first served. Fill out the electronic form to reserve your spot!
The cost is $215 for the fall and winter season (26 games from Oct 7 to April 27) plus insurance fees of $35 for those that are not registered with ARSO. There are two seasons: from October 2011 to January 2012; and from January 2012 to April 2012.
This is the best house league in the region. Indoor games are played at the Connor’s centre on Montcalm in Hull . We keep it friendly, competitive and include all levels of play. The league is intended for players over 35 but there are a few younger players that have been “grand-fathered” into the league.
* Pitch is high quality turf (cleats, turf or indoor shoes acceptable).
* Pitch size is 25x45 meters, with a large but not full sized net.
* Very friendly league in the spirit of pickup soccer. Play is self-governed - no referees.
* Play is for 60 minutes, non-stop.
* Rotate the goal keeper - everyone should get a chance to play nets.
