Soccer Chelsea - Field Schedule

Hello Coaches,

I just wanted to talk about some important issues with the pre-season, seasonal weekly, weekend, and post-season calendars to avoid any further confusion.

PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE: This is the schedule before the games start. Every team will have one scheduled practice that is a one-time only practice. This year the pre-season ends May 17th. Additional pre-season practices can be requested on the Soccer Chelsea website: http://www.soccerchelsea.ca/wsb/pages/english/fields/reservations.php

SEAS0N WEEKLY SCHEDULE: For 2012 the games begin May 17th. Games start at 7:00 pm in May, June, July and start at 6:30 pm in August. The schedule shows your home game field and the night and time you play. Usually, half the games are booked in Chelsea and the other half elsewhere.

At times, game nights and fields will be altered, because there are an uneven number of teams playing in a specific group. Any practices scheduled for that field must be rescheduled. THE GAME ALWAYS HAS PRIORITY.

Please consult the rescheduled game table below (and link above) to see if any of your practices will be affected during the summer season. We will do our best to contact you beforehand.

Practices are in two slots: A) 5:45 to 7:15 B) 7:15 to 8:45.

If a rescheduled game is taking place in Slot B, then the slot A practices have to terminate by 6:55 so that the game can start at 7:00.

Practice times advance by 15 minutes at the beginning of August as the light fades, and practices will therefore be shorter.

WEEKEND PRACTICES DURING THE REGULAR SEASON: The practices are divided into three time frames on Sunday evening so that everyone has a chance at the popular times: A) 4:00-5:30, B) 5:30-7:00 and C) 7:00-8:30. Group practices have been scheduled for all age groups on Sunday evening and have priority over individual practices. Individual teams may request additional times. Saturday mornings have early or late slots available.

POST-SEASON SCHEDULE: This schedule is set upon a first-come first-serve basis for the teams that have made the final play-offs and would like to practice.
